Remains Of The Day are a severely ignored,
melodic, bordering on depressive, crust band from the early 2000s. They
weren’t around for very long, but this record certainly can hang with the more
prolific releases in the genre. Their overtly aggressive nature and
melodic overtones gets them a well-deserved comparison to Tragedy. Yet,
there is plenty of sonic distinction, especially with the vocals and the fact
they had a violin player, which makes this band stand a little taller within a
music style that usually doesn’t like to stray too far from its core. Listen closely; there's a lot of creativity going on underneath the chaos.
