I’ve been getting overly wordy in my reviews lately. So it’s time to cleanse the pallet and get
down to bare bones (pun wholeheartedly intended) for a moment. If anyone asks me to define Detroit
punk rock, the name Feisty Cadavers immediately will spew forth from my mouth
in an exited, almost kid-like tone. The
Feisty’s are my be-all, end-all representation of punk rock festering from the
aforementioned city of despair. Their debut
and follow-up 7”s are perfect; perfect songs, perfect vocal delivery, perfect
artwork, and perfect imperfections that give the band heart, identity and the
adoration of peers and fans almost 25 years after their release. Time to go listen to both front to back for
the zillionth time. “Come on boys and rip
it up! Get off your backs and
dance!” R.I.P. Steve, Eric and Dave.
